Firefighter Visit in Prep!
Highvale Primary School
We were so lucky to have two very visits from our local firefighters over the past two weeks! The children loved learning all about fire safety and getting a closer look at the important work firefighters do in our community.
During our first session, the firefighters taught us about good fires and bad fires, and helped us understand when it is appropriate to call 000. We also talked about who we can ask for help in an emergency and the important information we need to share when making an emergency call.
For our second visit, we got the chance to explore the fire engines! We had so much fun looking inside the truck, trying out the fire hose, and even listening to the loud siren. The children were fascinated by all the equipment and loved pretending to be firefighters for the morning!
A huge thank you to our wonderful firefighters for taking the time to visit us, teach us such important safety skills, and make learning so much fun. We had an amazing time!
