Captains Corner 

This term marks the final term for our Year 6 students. It is both an exciting and nervous time as they look forward to moving onto secondary school. This week our School Captains reflect on what Term 4 will bring.

This term I am looking forward to so many things because I have been waiting for events like graduation for such a long time. I have heard such wonderful things about all the fun activities that Term 4 has in store for us! I am also a bit nervous because of high school, but high school is also a very exciting moment and moving to a whole new school and the new routines and learning is awesome. That’s why I plan to make the most of Term 4 with Celebration Day, graduation and deciding on the new 2027 School Captains! I am both super excited and sad, loads of fun things to look forward to but also knowing that this is the end of primary school. Year Six has been one of my favorite years so far and I can’t wait for everything in the years ahead .

So far, 2026 has flown by so fast. One moment I blink and the next we’re in Term 4. It makes me so sad to see this year coming to an end especially because that means we must leave. Year 6’s have lots of exciting things coming up and one of those things is our graduation!!! As sad as I am to see the year coming to an end so fast I ABSOLUTLEY CANNOT wait for it! The Year 6 cohort has already started discussing some of the details about our song, food, dance, and also Celebration Day. I’m really excited to have a night of fun and reminiscing about my primary school years and making new memories to take with me to high school. I know that I’m going to cry a lot on graduation because we’re leaving primary school! So, graduation is the thing I’m most looking forward to in Term 4! I know graduation is going to be SUPER fun, and I just can’t believe that after six years, we’re finally graduating, it seems so unreal, but one thing for sure is that I’m going to visit the HPS every day after I’ve graduated!

Hello Highvale Primary School, in this text I will tell you what I am looking forward to in Term 4 as a Year 6 student.

Whole School Fun Day:

One of the main things I am looking forward to in Term 4 is of course graduating, but I am also looking forward to the Whole-School-Fun day, not because of what we’ll be doing, instead because of the reason we are having it in the first place. In my opinion it is to celebrate our last term in primary school.

Remembering the memories we made in Primary School:

Some of best memories of our life are made in school, for example, maybe it was where you got your first friend or had your largest achievement. One of my best memories of Highvale Primary School is surprisingly my first day here, the reason is, because of how welcoming everyone was, they welcomed me in with humor and kindness.
