Mathematics Enrichment Opportunities – Australian Maths Competition

Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC)
Highvale Primary School is proud to celebrate the students who participated in the Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC) this year. Organised by the Australian Maths Trust, the AMC is an internationally recognised competition that encourages students to apply their mathematical knowledge, logical reasoning and problem-solving skills to a range of engaging and challenging questions.
The competition provides students with an opportunity to extend themselves beyond the regular mathematics curriculum, tackle unfamiliar problems and develop confidence in their mathematical thinking.
Congratulations to all students who participated and embraced the challenge! We would also like to recognise the students who achieved outstanding results in this year's competition.
AMC awards are based on students’ performance compared with other participants in the same year level and region. Credit is awarded to students in approximately the top 55%, Distinction to those in the top 20%, and High Distinction to those in the top 3% of their year level and region.
