Senior School

你 好 (ni hao)
What an exciting and productive week in the Senior School!
Our Year 3/4 students have been busy engaging in their Guided Inquiry project, designing, building, and testing their very own sustainable watercrafts. There was great excitement as students finally had the opportunity to see their creations out on the water! The watercrafts were truly "splashtastic," and students enjoyed observing how their designs performed while reflecting on what made them successful. It was wonderful to see their creativity, problem-solving skills, and perseverance shine throughout the challenge.
In English, students are currently writing newspaper articles based on the boat challenge, making connections to our class novel which we recently finished. We have been focusing on using factual language, creating engaging headlines, and organising information clearly to inform and entertain readers.
In Mathematics, students have been continuing to develop their understanding of division. Through a range of hands-on activities and problem-solving tasks, students have been building confidence in using division strategies and explaining their mathematical thinking.
This week, our Year 5/6 students participated in Gala Day. We hope they enjoyed taking part in all of the sporting activities and representing our school with enthusiasm and sportsmanship. Well done to all students involved!
Warm regards,
The Senior Team
