Keira Coscarella, Tiffany Lee, Harriet Pierce and Dana Soloman - Cambridge Scholars' Programme

Dana, Tiffany, and I participated in the two-week Cambridge Scholars' Programme in the UK, and it was an incredible experience that I am so grateful for.

Throughout the trip, we attended a variety of university classes on fascinating subjects. I chose Mind Games, Criminal and Forensic Psychology, and Cosmology. Each class was highly insightful and taught me so much.

Evenings were filled with fun games and activities, with something different each night. My favourite was punting on the River Cam, it was an unforgettable experience! We also went on several day trips to iconic UK landmarks like Stonehenge, The Roman Baths, and Big Ben.

The trip concluded with a memorable graduation ceremony and a formal dinner. It was a special evening where we dressed up, enjoyed our final meal with the friends we made, and said goodbye to an experience we’ll always cherish.

 - Harriet Pierce (Year 10)

Dana, Kiera, Harriet, and I embarked on an incredible journey to Cambridge University to experience daily university life. During our two weeks there, we connected with people from around the globe, from countries like the United States, Hungary, Spain, and Singapore, forming friendships that will last a lifetime.

I delved into subjects like Mind Games, Superstring Theory, Criminal and Forensic Psychology, and Chemistry. We explored valuable lessons such as memory techniques like the mind palace, the concept of different dimensions, the analysis of criminal cases, and the science of polymer and fuel cells for sustainable energy.

Each evening, we enjoyed a range of activities including punting on the River Cam, casino night, disco night, and more. My favourite memories include our day trips to iconic tourist attractions like the Roman Baths, the British Museum, and St Paul’s Cathedral.

We wrapped up the experience with a memorable graduation ceremony, a formal dinner, a photo session by the river, and a fun silent disco. From the people I met to the places I visited; this trip will always hold a special place in my heart. I highly recommend signing up for this adventure, it’s an experience you will never forget!

- Tiffany Lee (Year 10)

The Cambridge Scholars' Programme was an amazing experience that opened my mind to new concepts and gave me a glimpse of university life. I met people from places such as the United States, Brazil, Singapore, Hungary and many more, which both pushed me out of my comfort zone in making new friends and was also very entertaining to contrast the different cultural and lingual differences.

My chosen courses included Scriptwriting, Mind Games, Journalism and Criminal and Forensic Psychology. I've learned how to enhance my writing skills, use memory techniques effectively, write compelling journalism feature articles, and investigate a chosen criminal to address their crimes.

Some of my favorite moments included punting on campus, exploring Windsor Castle, visiting St Paul’s Cathedral, and enjoying breakfast with friends every morning. It was an unforgettable two weeks, and I highly recommend the upcoming Year 9 and 10 students to participate in this amazing opportunity too!

My favourite part of the trip was exploring England's rich history and culture. We toured iconic sites such as London, the Roman Baths, Stonehenge, Oxford, and Windsor Castle. This once-in-a-lifetime experience was truly unforgettable, and I would love to relive it again!
