Performing Arts News

Preparations for our school concert at the end of this term are well underway. It has been wonderful to see our students' enthusiasm, commitment and growing confidence.
Foundation and Year 1/2 students have made tremendous progress with their singing this year, and it has been such a joy to hear many of them proudly singing their concert songs beyond the Performing Arts learning space, including in Visual Arts and after-school care.
Our Year 3–6 students have been learning concert dances choreographed by Footsteps Dance Company, while around 30 Year 3–4 students have been participating in Ukulele Extension and have earned the opportunity to perform with the school band at the concert. Students have also been enthusiastically choosing to rehearse instruments during recess and lunchtime, our K-pop dance group has been thriving once again, and both choirs have been singing with incredible enthusiasm and gusto each week.
I am so proud of the dedication, teamwork and perseverance our students have shown throughout the rehearsal process. I can't wait for our school community to see all of their hard work come to life on stage at our concert later this term. It's going to be a wonderful celebration of music, dance and student achievement!
