Ready, Set, Learn!

The students in 1/2SC have settled back in beautifully and have jumped straight into their learning. We are looking forward to another wonderful term together! 

Mad about  Maths!

In Mathematics, we are learning about 2D shapes and 3D objects by recognising, making, comparing and sorting them based on their features. Students have been describing shapes using mathematical language and explaining how shapes are the same and different. The children have had so much fun and have been engaged in a range of hands-on learning experiences.

We explored the features of 2D shapes using mathematical vocabulary such as quadrilateral, polygon, parallel, opposite, curved and straight. Students applied their understanding by creating colourful Parallel Line Art masterpieces, showcasing both their mathematical thinking and creativity.

They enjoyed creating colourful pictures using tangrams, and pattern blocks while exploring how different shapes can be combined to make new designs.

Grandparents Day

The children were so excited to share their learning with their grandparents on Grandparents' Day.  It was a wonderful morning celebrating learning and spending time together.
