SJV Indonesian Day 2026

Selamat pagi! (Good morning!) Thank You for Celebrating Indonesian Day!

A heartfelt thank you to our wonderful St John Vianney community for making our Indonesian Day celebration such a vibrant and memorable occasion.

It was wonderful to see so many families join us for our Indonesian Morning Tea, where our Year 6 students proudly welcomed and served parents a delicious selection of Indonesian treats. A special highlight of the morning was the delightful performance by our Foundation students, who entertained everyone with their Indonesian songs.

We extend our sincere thanks to Indofood for their ongoing generosity and support in providing delicious Indomie Mi Goreng and Indonesian snacks, which were enjoyed by so many throughout the day.

Throughout the day, students embraced the spirit of the celebration by dressing in the Indonesian national colours of red and white or red and black. Our senior students did an outstanding job organising a range of engaging activities, including traditional Indonesian games, quizzes, and face painting, bringing fun, culture, and learning to every year level.

One of the highlights of the afternoon was the friendly Teachers vs Students Indonesian games competition. It was wonderful to see so many parents cheering on the participants and joining in the excitement, helping to create a fantastic sense of community.

Most importantly, thank you to our students, staff, parents, and families for embracing this special celebration of Indonesian culture. Your enthusiasm, participation, and support made the day a tremendous success and a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the rich diversity within our school community.
