2027 Class Considerations 

Dear Parents,

It is now the time of year where our staff start to prepare information to work on the process of placing students in grades for 2027.

As we have done so in previous years, we will be asking the students to select up to 5 names of friends/students in the same year that they think would be a good match for their grade for 2027. The program we use to create the grades will match the student with at least 1 choice from their list. The student may get more than one choice, but one is the guaranteed minimum.

Our placement program uses this list, as well as data from the teaching staff to generate and create the grades. These are then looked at by all of the staff at our school before they are finalised.

A lot of time, data and work goes into making sure the grades that we create are as fair and balanced as possible, so that all students at our school have the opportunity for learning.

Parents are welcome to contact Deborah Crane, in writing, about the placement of their child in 2027 in regards to pairing requests or separations. However - if we receive a pairing request from a parent, this information will override the friendship requests completed by the student.

We advise that you discuss the pairing request with your child before you contact Mrs Crane and where possible help the student to complete a list of up to 5 names (of which one will become a guaranteed pairing).

It is possible that we can also accommodate some separation requests, if valid, however only one separation request can be accommodated per child.  More than one request can unbalance the grades. Please include the reasons for your separation request with your correspondence to Mrs Crane.

Any requests by the parents will be considered by Mrs Crane and your child’s teacher so that the best outcome can be achieved.

Unfortunately, we do not accept teacher requests.
