Principal Report
Mrs Deborah Crane
As a school community, we have a shared responsibility to ensure every student feels valued, respected, and included. Inclusion means recognising and celebrating our differences while creating a sense of belonging for everyone.
As principal, I am committed to fostering a school culture where every student has the opportunity to participate, contribute, and thrive. We will continue to listen to our students, support one another, challenge exclusion, and ensure that our practices reflect fairness, respect, and dignity.
When we create a community where everyone belongs, we strengthen not only our individual students but our entire school.
In saying this, it is important that we also promote a safe and orderly environment.
At PVNPS, we have a set of positive expected behaviours and you may have seen these now displayed around the school. We have a set for in the classrooms as well. We constantly teach and re-teach these with students and then when they do not, we have a logical approach to responses to negative behaviour. Unfortunately, we do remove students from their classrooms if they are 1. making the classroom unsafe for others and 2. when they distract others from a learning environment.
Consistent behaviour expectations and positive relationships have been the key to our poistive culture. The support and partnership with families is also a highly important element which assist us in overall results for improvement.
GagaBall Pit
We are very lucky to have the support from Essendon Fields with the purchase of our very own Gagaball Pit. The year 5 and 6 students and Ms Barmby have been asking for one since our excursion to Alexandra Adventure resort in 2023.
Many thanks to a parent/ school councillor, Alan, who will be building this when it arrives next term. We many need a few extra hands, so keep an eye out for this next term.

Maintenance
Not sure if you have noticed but we have a new maintenance person named Neale. He usually works every Monday.
Our school is looking fantatsic due to his ongoing enthusiasm and drive for order and the passion for his own work.
Neale fixes things, cleans the playground, maintains other sections of the school and assist teachers with projects like our upcoming Art Show.
Thanks Neale - we love your work!
