Recent Appointments Announced by Bishop Shane 

Warm greetings to parishioners of:

* St Mary’s, Dookie

* St Mary’s, Mooroopna

*St Malachy’s, Nagambie

*St Brendan’s, Shepparton

*St Mel’s, Shepparton South

Following the upcoming retirement of Fr Joe Taylor in September 2025, Bishop Shane has announced that priestly ministry across these five parishes will now be shared by:

• Fr Ronaldo Masilang RCJ

• Fr Ruel Desamparado RCJ

• Fr Addin Doe RCJ

• Fr Adi Indra

The three Rogationist priests will reside at St Brendan’s.  Fr Adi will reside at St Mel’s. Together, they will serve all five parishes and strengthen collaboration across the region while honouring each parish’s identity.

Fr Ronaldo has been appointed Administrator of Shepparton and Dookie parishes, (this appointment will take effect following Fr Joe's retirement) alongside his current role as Parish Priest of Shepparton South, Mooroopna, and Nagambie.  

Fr Saji Thomas MST, Chaplain of the Syro-Malabar Mission, will move into St Mary’s Presbytery in Mooroopna.  Syro-Malabar liturgies will continue at St Brendan’s.

Retirement Mass for Father Joe Taylor

On Sunday, 28th September, the Parish will also hold a special Mass for Father Joe to celebrate his retirement.
