               Classroom routines and expectations

The prep students have settled into school beautifully and are becoming more confident each day. They are learning the classroom routines quickly and are beginning to follow expectations with growing independence. It has been wonderful to see them take responsibility for their learning and feel proud of being part of our class community.

                          Classroom learning

The preps have been learning the letters 'S' and 'A', practicing how to recognise them and write them correctly. They are building their phonemic awareness by listening carefully to the sounds in words and identifying where the s and a sounds appear. The students are also beginning to blend sounds together, smoothly joining them to read simple words with growing confidence. 

                                     Buddies 

The preps are continuing to see their buddies each week, building stronger connections and growing more confident together. They love sharing stories, reading books, and practicing new skills side by side. It’s wonderful to see them having so much fun while learning and supporting one another. This week the buddies got to work together and go on a mission around the school and give directions to one another. They did so well!
