Senior students thoroughly enjoy Courage to Care incursion

On Tuesday 10 February, members of the Courage to Care organisation visited the Senior Building for an engaging and thought-provoking incursion.

Students were immediately captivated by the presenters and their powerful stories. The session began with a series of small group activities that encouraged students to explore stereotypes and consider why people should not feel pressured to conform to them.

Following these activities, a second guest speaker shared his personal family story. George spoke to 5/6B about how his Jewish family escaped persecution during the middle of World War II. He explained how they were protected and supported by courageous “upstanders” in small towns throughout rural France.

Our students represented the school beautifully. They were respectful, attentive and asked thoughtful questions throughout the session.

Below is a photo of George sharing his story with 5/6B.
