A Fantastic Start to Term 1 in Literacy!

Our Grade 3 and 4 students have launched into Term 1 with energy and enthusiasm, especially during our engaging Literacy Block! Each day begins with a focused Daily Review to strengthen foundational skills and build confidence. From there, students dive into phonology, sharpening their understanding of sounds and patterns in words, and explore morphology as they investigate prefixes, suffixes, and word meanings to expand their vocabulary. During text study, students think deeply about a variety of rich texts, building comprehension strategies and discussing author choices. They then bring their learning to life through writing application, where they craft their own pieces using the skills and knowledge they’ve developed. It has been an exciting and purposeful start to the term, and we are so proud of the focus, curiosity, and growth already on display in our classrooms!
