Year 6 Music Program
42 year 6 students started their musical journey this week, when the Year 6 music program began. This program is a great way for students to meet each other and make some friends while learning an instrument. The program will run for the next six weeks, and finish with a concert showcasing student achievements on Tuesday December 2nd in the PAC.
Ensemble CAT
All ensemble program students will complete their Ensemble CAT over the next few weeks, and will present their performances at the Ensemble night on the 6th November in the PAC. All family and friends are invited to come along and enjoy the variety of groups that have been working together to prepare for this performance.
Ensemble CAT FRINGE
So many students have been working on extra ensemble pieces that we are running a ‘Fringe’ event adjacent to the Ensemble CAT!
Students in various combinations and ensembles will be entertaining the crowds all the way from the Rotherham St gate to the doors of the PAC, from 6.10pm onwards.
Fringe performers will need to be at the PAC with their instrument at 6.00pm.
Re enrolments 2026
Re enrolment forms for students continuing lessons in 2026 are available on Compass and have been emailed out to all currently enrolled families.
Please complete and return one of these to help us with our 2026 planning.
Instrumental music lessons will end in the last week of November.
Instruments need be returned by this date, if students are not continuing.
This allows time for cleaning, servicing and maintenance.
Grace Britnell, El Rechenberg, Jack Williams, Lola McNee and Hibiki Tan’s Band ‘The Routine’ have been selected from bands across Victoria to perform at Songmakers’ Live, receiving pre -show mentoring from high profile musicians prior to the show.
If you can’t make this show, catch them at QMF the following weekend!
