Safety Reminder

Spring Safety Reminders
As our spring weather begins to warm up and we move from spring toward summer, it is wonderful to see our school grounds and local environment come alive with activity. However, this change in season also brings a few important safety reminders for everyone.
Be Aware of Bees and Other Wildlife:
With more flowers in bloom, bees and other insects are more active. Bees are generally harmless if left undisturbed, but please remind students to stay calm and move away slowly if a bee or wasp is nearby.
We may also begin to see more wildlife, including snakes, around grassy or bushy areas. While snake encounters are rare in our residential areas, it is important that students:
- Stick to designated paths and play areas
 - Avoid tall grass or garden beds
 - Report any sightings immediately

Seasonal Allergies:
Spring can also bring about hay fever and other seasonal allergies. Common symptoms include sneezing, watery eyes, and nasal congestion. Parents are encouraged to:
- Ensure students bring any necessary allergy medication (as per school policy)
 - Inform the school of any allergies or medical plans that may need updating
Encourage students to wash their hands and faces after outdoor play to remove pollen
Staying Safe and Comfortable:
As temperatures rise, please remind students to:
- Wear hats and sunscreen during outdoor activities
 - Bring a refillable water bottle to stay hydrated
Dress appropriately for the warmer weather
We want everyone to enjoy this vibrant time of year safely and comfortably. Thank you for your continued support in keeping our school community aware and prepared.
Thank you for your continued support.
