5/6 MPRPS Global Summit
This term, our Year 5/6 students have taken on the roles of global citizens, researchers and country representatives as part of our Guided Inquiry. Students began by researching a country, learning about its geography, people, culture, environment and connections with the wider world. They then investigated a range of important global issues, including deforestation, refugees and displaced people, access to clean water and sanitation, sustainable use of our oceans, and industrial pollution. Students considered how these issues affect different countries and the responsibilities countries may have in responding to them. To bring their learning together, students participated in our very own MPRPS Global Summit, where they presented their country's position, used evidence to support their ideas, listened to different perspectives, negotiated with others and considered possible solutions. It has been wonderful to see students develop their understanding of Civics and Citizenship and Ethical Capability while practising respectful communication, collaboration and informed decision-making. Most importantly, students have had the opportunity to experience what it means to be an active and informed global citizen!
Footy Day
Our students enjoyed a fantastic day of Footy Day activities, with plenty of opportunities to get active, work together and have some fun. A huge thank you to our Year 6 Sports Leaders and David, our PE teacher, for organising and running such a great range of activities for everyone to enjoy.
School Disco
We are looking forward to finishing the term with our School Disco! With an “Off to the Movies” theme, students will have the chance to come dressed as their favourite movie characters and enjoy music, dancing and plenty of fun with their friends. A huge thank you to our Year 6 Performing Arts Leaders and Ms Tyson, our Performing Arts teacher, for organising what promises to be a wonderful celebration to see out the end of Term 3.
Have a Wonderful Break
As we reach the end of another busy term, we would like to wish all of our families a wonderful and safe holiday break. We hope everyone enjoys some time to relax, recharge and spend time with family and friends. We look forward to welcoming everyone back for another exciting Term 4!
3/4 Camp Parent Volunteer Reminder:
We are urgently seeking parent volunteers to support our upcoming 3/4 ADANAC camp. Volunteers can assist either for the day or stay overnight. If you are available and would like to help, please reach out to nicholas.dix@education.vic.gov.au.

Hats for outside play
Attention Year 6 Families - Baby Photos for Graduation
We are looking forward to celebrating Year 6 graduation at the end of the year, with preparations already underway!
One of our beloved traditions is sharing three baby photos from between the ages of 0-5 as part of the presentation. We are asking if you could please email gradesixgraduation@gmail.com with these three photos by November 30th. We usually recommend one baby photo, one toddler and one around kinder age, but any family favourites will be great!
Also, if your child attended another school prior to MPRPS and you have their school photos, it would also be much appreciated if you could send those through.
We will send reminder messages over the coming weeks, but we like to get an early start as it takes a while to collate everything! Thank you so much for your support!
