Middle School Assessments

Term 4 will be a busy time for our Middle School students as they complete their final assessments tasks for the year. Most of the these will take place between Week 3 to 6. Please ensure your son consults his assessment overview, and then uses this to plan out his assessments on a calendar or in his diary.

Your son will also receive a formal assessment notification for tasks at least two weeks prior to each assessment. This will provide information on the specific content required for revision, or the criteria for hand in tasks.

Middle School Reports

All Semester Two reports will be emailed home as a PDF attachment to parents on Tuesday 15 December. The document will also be uploaded to the parent portal. This report will include a total assessment mark out of 100. The number is calculated as a weighted total of all assessment tasks completed in 2026. The weightings of individual assessment tasks can be found in the assessment schedule document for each grade, available on the assessment portal. You will also be provided with information relating to you son’s attainment of a range of outcomes for each subject.

Year 7 2027 Transition

Our transition visits for our incoming Year 7 2027 students will be held across four Wednesdays from 12:45pm until 2:45pm. The first afternoon will be held on 21 October, running across consecutive afternoons until the final afternoon on 11 November. Each student will be invited to attend one afternoon, with all students from individual primary schools attending on the same day. Parents have been directly emailed a School Bytes permission link. Please ensure you have signed this permission link before your son attends his designated afternoon.

In addition to the transition afternoons, our formal Orientation Day will be held on the morning of Thursday 3 December. Please note this is different to the designated Department of Education designated Orientation Day. The day will include presentation from our school executive teachers and student leaders. Students will also participate in taster lessons, literacy and numeracy activities, and a tour of the school facilitated by our Year 10 Mentors. Parents of our incoming Year 7 2027 students will receive more detailed information relating to this event early next term.
