ANZAC Day

This ANZAC Day, our Buninyong school leaders, Scarlett, Otto, Mikka and Eilidh, had the honour of representing our school at the local commemoration service at the Buninyong Memorial Park.

At the service, they laid a wreath on behalf of our school to pay tribute to the men and women who have served, and continue to serve, our country. It was wonderful to see so many members of our local community in attendance.

We are proud of our school leaders for the respect and dignity they showed in representing our school on this important occasion.

You may have also noticed some of the Year 2 ANZAC writing on display in the courtyard – we encourage you to check out their writing and reflections on what ANZAC Day means. 

Mother’s Day Breakfast - Thursday 7th May

Save the Date!

We’re excited to invite our Buninyong PS families to join us for our Mother’s Day Breakfast on Thursday 7 May from 8:00–9:00 am at the Buninyong Bowling Club.

Enjoy a light finger food breakfast with juice, tea, and coffee, plus the chance to win some lucky door prizes!

Tickets are available to purchase on Qkr now and close Monday 4th May at 11:30am. Please book early to avoid disappointment as places are limited.

Mother’s Day Stall - Friday 8th May

Our annual Mother’s Day Stall is back! This is a lovely opportunity for students to express gratitude and celebrate the mums, carers and significant people in their lives.

Grade groups will be allocated a time to visit the stall during the morning of Friday 8 May, where students will have the opportunity to purchase one gift.

Once all classes have visited, an announcement will be made for any students who wish to return and purchase additional gifts. There will be plenty available for those wanting more than one item.

All gifts are $5 each.  We have a great assortment of items that students are sure to love choosing from… but we won’t give too many clues away!

Students attending cross country can purchase their gifts in the afternoon on Thursday 7th May

We are also looking for a few helpers to support our student team running the stall between 9:00–11:00am. If you’re available, we’d love to hear from you — please contact Narelle via email narelle.sullivan@education.vic.gov.au

Bunjil awards recognise student achievement and those who display our school values of being respectful, responsible and kind. Well done! All of our weekly winners enjoyed a hot chocolate or zooper dooper with a principal. This process is always a great chance for us to hear from the kids and ask them some questions about our school.
