Term 2 Inter School Sport Results:

Cross Country

The annual District Cross Country Championships at the Hastings Foreshore. The participation was fantastic, with WPSC sending a team of 42 students! All competitors put in a super effort running either the 3km or 5km course. As a school, we finished a place higher than last year and had some amazing individual results: Congratulations to the 7 Students who are through to the Regional Finals later in the term:

District Athletics

62 of our finest WPSC athletes showcased their excellence at District Athletics last week! A round of applause for Jordan, Maxine, Taj, Sam, Jack, Isiah, Charlotte and Tui for their remarkable 1st achievements. Regionals, here we come! Aside from multiple gold medals above we also achieved 12 silver and 20 bronze.

 

Senior Inter School Sport

Our senior athletes have been on fire over the past two weeks, showcasing their talent and determination on the field and court! Huge congratulations to all our teams for their outstanding performances! Here’s a recap of the results: 3rd Boys Netball, 4th Girls AFL, 2nd Boys Basketball, 2nd Boys Hockey, 2nd Boys Badminton, 2nd Girls Table Tennis, 2nd Boys Table Tennis, 3rd Girls Badminton and 5th Girls Basketball. Your hard work and dedication have truly shone through, even against tough competition!

 

Regional Volleyball

Hats off to our Year 7 Girls Volleyball team for their stellar performance at the Regional finals! Despite a nail-biting finish, they clinched third place out of 8 schools, missing the final by just 2 points! Talk about a close call!Girls, your talent and dedication have made us all proud at WPSC!Now, all eyes are on our Year 7 Boys Cricket team as they gear up to take on Port Melbourne SC in the regional final this October!
