Principal's Message

What better way to start the week than with a dance at Assembly! It was wonderful to see our children and parents joining in, having fun and beginning the week with plenty of energy and joy. We would love to see even more families join us!

This week we enjoyed our Father’s Day / special person celebrations, where we had the opportunity to recognise and celebrate the dads, grandfathers and special people in our children’s lives.

Our Garden to Kitchen program continues to bring learning to life, with our students making delicious herb scones using herbs from our very own garden. There is something very special about growing, harvesting, cooking and then sharing food together.

Our District School Sports have also begun, giving our students another opportunity to represent St Mary’s, challenge themselves, work as a team and, most importantly, enjoy being active together.

We were also fortunate to welcome Bron from Dhelyakya, who joined us to share Building Strong Foundations at Home. Supporting our families and strengthening the connection between home and school is such an important part of helping our children thrive. We thank Bron for sharing her knowledge, practical strategies and time with our community.

There is certainly plenty happening at St Mary’s, and it is wonderful to see our children learning, connecting and having fun along the way.

A Blessing for Dads and Special People

Loving God,

Today we give thanks for the dads, grandfathers, carers and special people who love, guide and support our children.

Bless them for the big things they do and the many little things that can sometimes go unnoticed — the encouragement, the laughter, the listening, the helping hands and simply being there.

May they know how valued and loved they are.

Bless the time they share with our children, the memories they create together, and the important part they play in helping our children grow with confidence, kindness and hope.

May God bless each of our dads and special people today and always.

Amen.

Have a great weekend,

Gemma
