Celebrating memories and milestones: Year 6 graduation
On Thursday 11 December, our community gathered for a beautiful Mass and awards ceremony to celebrate and bless our Year 6 students.
With Father Bernard Perera leading us in prayer, we paused to reflect on the year and offered our thanks to everyone whose care and dedication have helped these students grow into the remarkable individuals they are today.
The occasion was made even more memorable by the presence of Year 6 families, who proudly watched their children acknowledged for their commitment, achievements and growth.
The ceremony concluded with the presentation of the Junior School Awards and the announcement of the Junior School Leaders for 2026, before students joined together on the front lawn to celebrate with their families.
Our Year 6 students have been exceptional leaders of the Junior School, and we know they’ll carry the spirit of friendship and service into their next chapter as Senior School students.
As Fr Bernard reminded them:
“God has planted something special in each of you. Walk into the future with confidence, knowing Jesus is with you. Keep your light shining.”
Congratulations to every Year 6 student! We can't wait to see the amazing paths you'll forge in the Senior School.
Our Year 6 celebrations continued on Friday 12 December, with photos at the front of the College, followed by a delicious outdoor brunch provided by Murphy’s Café.
An afternoon disco rounded off the year, leaving our Year 6 students with lasting memories of fun and friendship!
Christmas festivities in full swing
We decked the halls with boughs of holly... Christmas definitely spread its magic across the College.
Our Kinder to Year 2 students lit up the stage with joyful songs and festive cheer during their much-anticipated Christmas celebration on Wednesday 10 December.
A fantastic turnout filled the Nagle Centre as families gathered to share in the spirit of the season. It was truly a beautiful way to come together as a College community.
A big well done to our students and their teachers for the hard work and creativity that brought these delightful musical performances to life.
On Tuesday 16 December, our Year 3–6 students took to the spotlight to mark the last day of Term 4 with a jolly end-of-year concert.
With festive costumes, toe-tapping tunes, witty jokes and a show-stopping dance mash-up from our wildly talented Year 6 students, the celebration came with all the trimmings.
We're so grateful to the many parents and carers who joined us and helped make the afternoon extra special.
Congratulations to all our students for their energy, creativity and enthusiasm. A spectacular finale to 2025 at St Mary's College!
Year 1 Echidnas | Sugar, spice and everything iced!
Gingerbread house-building is serious business!
Our Year 1 Echidnas recently discovered just how much discipline it takes to resist nibbling on biscuits or sneaking a lick of icing during the decorating phase. (Answer: A lot!).
A big thank you to our fantastic parent and carer volunteers for lending a hand in this festive activity, which also aligned perfectly with the students' Mathematics unit.
Joyful creations
Well done to Quinn Murphy (Kinder) for capturing the Nativity story so wonderfully in this lovely artwork. We especially love the vibrant colours and the gold stars.
A Kinder kaleidoscope
Kinder students have put their creativity to work, designing a stained-glass door for their classroom with markers and tape. The results are dazzling!
