Student Achievements

Congratulations to the following students:

Alicia Dale (Year 12), who recently won the U18 Australian Doubles Championship with Gabby Villegas (Victoria) at the December Showdown in Launceston. Alicia also reached the singles semi-finals, bowing out to the eventual winner. A fantastic finish to her junior tennis career!

In early January, Alicia will head to the USA to pursue a tennis scholarship at Iowa State University. We wish her every success on this exciting new chapter.

Abbie Mitchelmore (Year 7), who was selected to join the Football Tasmania Girls U13 State Team, which toured Melbourne from 27–30 November, competing in friendly matches and the Victorian Youth Super Cup. The team showed impressive skill and teamwork and represented Tasmania with pride. We're so proud of Abbie and the strong representation from St Mary's in Football Tasmania programs.

Macey Hayes (Year 6), who, after a tough season playing alongside her brothers (pictured), helped bring home the grand final win in the U13/14s at the Futsal Tasmania, Hobart Junior Finals. It was a nail-biter, but they fought hard and came out on top with a 4–3 victory. Well done, Macey!
