Term 4 Co-Curricular

Victorian Solar Car Challenge 2025
A huge congratulations to our LESC team for their fantastic results at the Victorian Solar Car Challenge held at Scienceworks in Melbourne yesterday.
As part of the Term 3 Co-Curricular Program, students built their own solar cars, and all that hard work paid off!
From more than 40 competing cars, one of our teams finished 3rd overall in the Sheridan Kit Car category, and another finished 5th in the same category.
LESC also received the Most Herculean Effort Award, a well-deserved recognition for the distance our students travelled to take part in this amazing event.
Well done to Jacob Stanley (Year 7) and Caleb Grizic (Year 8 ) for managing and racing the cars throughout the day, and to Shane Patton and Zeppelin Allan for their work behind the scenes in preparing the cars.
A big thank you to Mr Smith, who ran the Co-Curricular activity, organised the trip, and attended the event, and to Mr Sami for driving the team to and from Melbourne and providing great support on the day.
What an outstanding effort from everyone involved!
Term 4 Co-Curricular Program
Our Term 4 Co-Curricular Program is now in full swing, with students from Years 7–10 diving into a fantastic range of hands-on, creative and skill-building activities every Wednesday afternoon!
Cycle 2 is running across the following dates:
October 15, 22, 29, November 5 and 12.
Each Wednesday, lunch will run from 12.30–1.10pm, followed by Co-Curricular sessions from 1.10–3.10pm, with a short on-site break at 2.10pm.
This term’s lineup includes something for everyone, from crafting fishing gear and exploring art, to cooking, gardening, and golf! Students are working alongside LESC staff to learn new skills, connect across year levels, and have a whole lot of fun along the way.
These sessions offer students a great opportunity to explore their interests, learn new practical skills, and connect with peers in a fun, supportive environment. A huge thank you to all the staff involved for making this program such a success!
