Principal's Message

It’s been a fantastic fortnight at Lakes Entrance Secondary College, with plenty to celebrate across our school community.

Our recent Athletics Day was a great success, with high levels of participation and an outstanding sense of fun and school spirit. It was wonderful to see students giving their best effort, supporting their peers, and enjoying the day. Congratulations to all the winners on the day and to Albatross for taking out our house cup. Thanks to all the staff that got involved in the day and a special thanks to our PE staff for their excellent organisation and enthusiasm in making the event such a positive experience for everyone.

It’s also been great to see a noticeable improvement in the number of students wearing full school uniform. Our uniform is an important part of who we are as a school community – it helps build a sense of belonging, pride, equality and gets students in the right headspace for learning. Thank you to everyone who has supported this focus and continues to represent the school so well.

Our Year 9 students have been participating in their Morrisby interviews. These conversations play an important role in helping students reflect on their strengths and interests while exploring future pathways and career options. It’s been pleasing to see the maturity and curiosity our students are showing through this process.

Our Year 12 students are now finishing their final classes – a significant milestone in their schooling journey. For those preparing for exams, I encourage you to make the most of study sessions, seek support from your teachers, and stay focused leading up to your exams.

On behalf of the entire school community, I’d like to wish all our Year 12 students the very best for their exciting futures that await them, whatever path they choose.
