Doncaster Secondary College Term 2 Sport Highlights
Term 2 has been absolutely buzzing with sporting spirit at Doncaster Secondary College! Across multiple year levels, our students have proudly represented the College in a range of inter-school competitions, showing off their skill, teamwork and unwavering commitment. Whether it was charging down the footy field, dominating on the badminton court, or running across the cross-country course, our students have truly done us proud!
Division Round Robin Competitions
The term kicked off with our Senior AFL Round Robin, where our Senior Boys AFL team took out the win in dominant fashion, while our Senior Girls AFL team competed with great spirit and determination in their matches.
The following week was packed with Round Robin action, with our Senior Boys Soccer A and B teams, Senior Girls Soccer team, and Senior Girls Badminton team all emerging as winners of the day. Our Girls Netball and Boys Badminton teams also gave it their all, contributing to a fantastic showing of teamwork and school pride across the board.

AFL Success at Doncaster Secondary College!
Congratulations to our Intermediate and Senior AFL teams for their outstanding efforts on the field and on advancing through to the next round!
Our Intermediate Girls AFL team impressed with a strong performance and came away as winners on the day, securing their spot in the next round. The Intermediate Boys also showed great teamwork and determination throughout their matches.
A special shoutout to our Senior Girls AFL team, who also played with incredible spirit and skill, finishing the day as winners and advancing to the next stage of the competition.
Well done to all teams involved — your hard work, sportsmanship, and dedication continue to make Doncaster Secondary College proud. We look forward to cheering you all on in the next round!
Intermediate Sport – Teamwork in Action
The winning ways continued on Friday 9th May, with our Intermediate Girls AFL team storming home to finish on top. This marked back-to-back victories in the girls' AFL space and highlighted the talent and cohesion among our female footballers.
On Tuesday 13th May, our Intermediate Round Robin teams headed out for another jam-packed day of sport. Congratulations to the Intermediate Boys Soccer B Team, who were crowned winners on the day! All other teams—including AFL, Badminton, Netball, and multiple Soccer squads—represented the College with pride, effort, and positivity.

Year 7 Round Robins – A Fantastic First Effort
Our Year 7 teams took centre stage on Wednesday 21st May, bringing energy, enthusiasm, and a lot of school spirit. A big shoutout to our Year 7 Boys AFL team, who claimed the win, and well done to all other students who participated across sports like Soccer, Netball, and Badminton. It was fantastic to see so many students giving their best in their first year of inter-school sport.

Cross Country Carnival – Pride, Persistence and Participation
Our annual Cross Country Carnival was another major highlight, with students from all year levels braving the course and giving their all. It was fantastic to see so many participants pushing themselves, cheering each other on, and celebrating the Doncaster spirit.
We’d like to congratulate every student who competed and give a special shoutout to the top 15 finishers in each age category. Your determination and resilience were truly inspiring!

Georgia Rizk – World Champion!
In an extraordinary story of dedication and excellence, Year 11 student Georgia Rizk recently travelled to Orlando, Florida to represent Australia at the 2025 Cheerleading World Championships—and made history!
Georgia and her team, part of Australia’s Pure All Stars Prodigy, pulled off a spectacular upset to become World Champions, beating the world’s top squads in an incredible performance that stole the show. This is a moment of immense pride not just for Georgia but for the entire Doncaster SC community.

It’s the battle of the seniors—with bragging rights, legacy, and house pride all on the line! Whether you’re a Year 12 hoping to go out on top, or a Year 11 with something to prove, this match promises entertainment, excitement, and elite banter.
We encourage all students and staff to head down to the pitch, cheer on your year level, and be part of the Donny sporting atmosphere. Events like this showcase the energy and passion that make our school community so special.
