A Big Thank You to Our Supportive Community
At Doncaster Secondary College, we are proud to be part of a vibrant and generous community that continually supports our students and their learning journey.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the local businesses and community members who go above and beyond to contribute to our school. In particular, we would like to acknowledge the ongoing support of:
- Manningham Neighbourhood Watch
- Mauro Butchers, Tunstall Square
- Coles, Doncaster Westfield
- FoodBank Manningham
- Uniting Church, Templestowe
- Doncaster Church of Christ, Doncaster
- Rotary Club of Manningham
Your contributions—both big and small—help foster a strong culture of support, celebration, and connection. More importantly, they directly contribute to the growth, motivation, and achievement of our students.
At Doncaster Secondary College, we offer a range of material aid support through our We’ve Got Your Back program. This initiative provides students with access to uniforms, books, stationery, and food, and is managed by a dedicated team including our Wellbeing Coordinator, Librarian, Health Nurse, and Youth Worker. Staff can refer students to the program through Compass.
We’ve Got Your Back is made possible by the generous donations from our school community and the support of local organisations including FoodBank, Mauro Butchers, Coles Westfield, Manningham Uniting Church, and Doncaster Church of Christ.
Also a huge thank you to Success Integrated for their work with our VCE Year 11 & 12 students. Our seniors engaged with workshops focused on VCE improvement and learning new strategies to support them to meet their academic goals.
We were so pleased with our student's ability to engage with these workshops and the positive feedback that we have received from our students. We hope the strategies learned from the workshop provide a stable foundation moving forward to help students to be successful in their VCE.
Thanks to this community backing, we are able to celebrate student milestones in academic excellence, leadership, and creativity. Whether it’s a sausage at a fundraiser or a prize recognising hard work, your support helps shape confident, engaged learners.
We are deeply grateful for your partnership and look forward to continuing to build strong ties with our local community as we grow together.
