Middle School Buzzing with Energy and Opportunity This Term

It’s been a busy and exciting term in the Middle School, with students engaging in a variety of enriching programs, inspiring presentations, and memorable events that have made the start of term truly dynamic.

A standout event for our Year 9 students was Cluster Day, which proved to be a major hit. Students were given the opportunity to hear from a range of volunteer organisations, gaining valuable insights into how they can contribute to their communities. A highlight of the day was the guest speakers from William Angliss Institute, who shared real-world perspectives on the hospitality industry, sparking interest and curiosity among many of our budding young professionals.

Meanwhile, our Year 10 students were deeply moved by a powerful presentation from the Pat Cronin Foundation, which delivered an important message about making safe choices and looking out for one another. Following the presentation, students participated in sessions focused on communication and safety planning, applying what they had learned in practical and meaningful ways.

To end the day on a high note, the Year 10s took part in a vibrant, student-led Colour Run. The event was filled with laughter, colour, and camaraderie, and proved to be a fun and energetic way to wrap up the day’s activities.

Empowering our young women has also been a focus this term. Several Year 9 girls were fortunate to take part in the Inspiring Girls program, while some Year 10 girls stepped up to participate in the Inspiring Girls Leadership Program. Both initiatives aim to build confidence, leadership, and a strong sense of self in our students, and we are proud of the girls who took part.

Another exciting development this term is the official opening of the Middle School Chill-Out Zone. Held every Tuesday lunchtime, this much-loved space provides students with a place to relax, connect with friends, and enjoy a range of games in a welcoming and positive environment.

Finally, we’re thrilled to share that 97% of our Year 10 students have successfully secured work experience placements. This is a fantastic result that reflects their hard work, determination, and readiness to step into the professional world.

Just a reminder of  Wednesday 4th June is subject expo day. This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to view all the subjects on offer for 2026 and have a informative conversations with the teachers that will explain what is involved in each subject

It’s been a fantastic term so far, filled with growth, engagement, and fun. We look forward to seeing what the rest of the term brings for our incredible Middle School students.
