Week 9 highlights
YEAR 6
The year 6 students have been learning about different problem-solving strategies they can use when conflict arises in their lives. The activity instructed students to draw a problem-solving flower, and, on the stem, they identify a conflict that could happen in their lives. On each petal they wrote a strategy they could try to overcome this conflict. Below are some examples of some great year 6 work!
YEAR 1
The year 1 students have been learning about ‘Problem Solving’ and took part in Lesson 1: Let’s work together.
This lesson was about the students working collaboratively together to play some games and understanding that working cooperatively add to the success of an activity. The students were able to identify the skills needed in order for the activity to be successful, such as:
- listening to each other
- sharing responsibilities
- supporting each other
- being patient
- taking on a leadership role
problem solving.
