National Simultaneous Storytime

Today students all across the school participated in National Simultaneous Storytime along with thousands of other students all across Australia.

This year’s story was about Luna Roo, a kangaroo who loves soccer. She is a rookie kangaroo captain who overcomes pre-match nerves, a tough Bush United team and a critical mistake to lead FC Outback to victory through courage, perseverance and team work.

Students across the school connected with their Social Squad buddy class to watch the story be read by the authors and complete some activities together. One of these activities was to design a Luna Roo soccer jersey.

As art of National Simultaneous Storytime there is a competition for students to design a jersey. The winning design from across Australia will be made into a Luna Roo jersey! There are also runner up prizes as well. More information can be found at animalworldcup.com.

Some students may bring home a jersey design sheet. At the bottom of the sheet is a QR code to scan to upload a picture of the jersey and enter the competition.
