Acting Principal's Report
Deanne Scott
Hello DPW Community,
It’s hard to believe that another term is almost finished and that we are very close to the halfway point of the year! Next week will be a busy one, highlighted by our Reporting to FamiliesDay on Tuesday. On the day, please ensure you arrive on time to help the day to run smoothly. If you haven’t booked in to meet with your child’s teacher, please do so before midday tomorrow, Friday 19th June.
Student reports will be available on Compass from Monday. Please read your child’s report before your meeting so that you can make the most of your time with the teacher and engage in purposeful discuss about their progress.
A few date reminders:
Uniform
With the change in the weather, this a reminder that our warmer uniform items are expected to be worn by students. That is a navy or gold long sleeve polo and a navy jacket or windcheater. These items are available from our uniform supplier Academy Uniforms on Robinsons Road. We expect students to be wearing navy long pants/trackpants as well. At this time of the year, hats are not compulsory, however, as it can be quite cold, a beanie is recommended to help keep warm when outside.
Contributions
I would like to acknowledge and thank all our families who have paid their voluntary contribution. This payment really supports us with providing pencils, books, other equipment, and access to online programs such as Reading Eggs and Mathletics.
We are still open for payment, should you wish to contribute and haven’t yet done so. Please ask the office to send an envelope home with your child to assist with payment, or pop into the office.
Volunteers
We will be requiring support from our school community over the next two terms. We anticipate having to pack-up and move items from our library for new carpet to be laid and needing volunteers to support with excursions (any year level). To volunteer, you will need a Working with Children Check and if you take part in any activities during school hours, you will also have to complete the school’s Volunteer Induction session.
We are keen to create a list of volunteer availability to help us to know when to plan certain activities. If you have already completed the volunteer induction session, please call or pop into the office to let us know which days and times you should be available.
We truly appreciate any time and support our families give to the school. If you’re keen to help out, this is a wonderful way to get involved and make a positive impact.
Enrolments for Foundation 2027 are now open.
For any families wishing to enrol a child for Foundation 2027, we have enrolment forms available either from our website or school office. Should you wish to have a tour of the school before deciding, please contact the office on 9363 3519, to register your interest and availability.
End of Term
Next Friday, June 26th, is the last day for the term and we will be finishing early - 2:30pm.
Term 3 will begin on Monday 13th July. Wishing you all a wonderful break!
Kindest Regards,

Deanne Scott
Acting Principal
The parking area at the front of the main gate on Quinn St is a timed drop-off and pick-up zone. This means that during certain times in the morning and afternoon, you cannot park your car there and leave it unattended. If you do, you may be fined by council. These restrictions are in place to support traffic flow and, most importantly, to ensure students can safely get out of, and into, their family car.
If you enjoy walking your child/ren into school in the morning or coming in to meet them at the end of the day, then please park your car further along the street or in the Adeline Court area.
The other thing to remember is to not park over our neighbours’ driveways. Our neighbours require access to their driveway at all times.
We ask all families to please:
The safety and wellbeing of our students is always our highest priority. Your support in helping keep our surrounding streets safe for everyone is greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your ongoing partnership and cooperation.
