Year 11 Mt Buller Ski Day Report

Year 11 Mt Buller Ski Day Report – 22nd August

On Thursday 22nd August, fifty Year 11 students embarked on an exciting day trip to Mt Buller. With a very early 5:15am departure and a return at 9:00pm, it was a long but highly rewarding day.

Upon arrival, students were divided into groups based on their experience level and participated in a morning lesson in either skiing or snowboarding. These lessons were led by Mt Buller’s instructors and catered to each student’s individual skill level – from beginners to advanced.

Snow conditions on the day were ideal, especially for those experiencing their first time on the slopes. A soft snowpack made learning easier and more forgiving, while a few bumps and more challenging terrain kept the experienced skiers and snowboarders engaged throughout the day.

In the afternoon, students had the opportunity to put their newly learned or refined skills into practice.

Overall, the Year 11 Ski Day was a fantastic experience, filled with fun, learning, and memorable moments in the snow.
