On Wednesday 20th August our year 7 & 8 headed to Greensborough Hockey Club to play in the district hockey
The boys hockey team started the day off much like the forecast - frosty, but ready for a warm reception.
Under the careful gaze of Coach Josh Nelson OLY, and assistant coach Ross Purcell RMIT, they took to the field.
With much gusto they entered the battleground and emerged the victors over St Helena, 9-3. Then after a brief rest to have a refreshing drink of sports tonic (water), once more, unto the breach.
They held Monty back with the tip of the spear, and with flashes of greatness not seen since Emilio Estevez pursued glory with The Might Ducks, Coach Nelson led from the side-lines. Adding a 10-1 victory to the day, the team returned undefeated and ready for the next round.
Here is where Assistant Coach Purcell leaves the team, undefeated, to see if the Might of Crosswhite can sustain them.
