From the Classroom

What an exciting start to Term 3 we have had in Foundation! Our classrooms exploded with colour as we celebrated 100 Days of School. The students certainly proved they are 100 days brighter and they looked it too, dressed in vibrant colours and wearing the biggest smiles!

Throughout the day, the children enjoyed a range of hands-on activities all centred around the number 100. They worked together to construct creative buildings using 100 blocks, imagined and drew what they would buy with $100, and took on the delicious challenge of counting 100 pieces of popcorn before enjoying every last bite! Unsurprisingly, this was a crowd favourite!

To finish our wonderful day, we teamed up with our Buddies for a special outdoor activity. Together, we counted 100 steps before using colourful chalk to create hopscotch games that skip-counted by tens all the way to 100. It was a fantastic way to combine maths, movement and fun while celebrating how much our students have grown over their first 100 days of learning.

This week, we were also very fortunate to welcome some special visitors from our local Fire Brigade. The firefighters spoke to the students about the important role they play in keeping our community safe and shared valuable fire safety tips. It was a wonderful opportunity to learn about community helpers and how we can all stay safe around fire.

It has been a fantastic start to the term, filled with exciting learning experiences, laughter and memorable moments. We are so proud of everything our Foundation students have achieved and the enthusiasm they bring to school each day. Here's to another wonderful term of learning, growing and shining together!
