Grand Final Success

Last weekend marked the exciting conclusion to the ISA summer sporting season, with several of our teams competing in grand finals after months of preparation, hard work, and dedication.

Reaching a grand final is a tremendous achievement and a reflection of the commitment shown by our students throughout the season. Our teams represented the College with pride, demonstrating resilience, teamwork, and determination in what were highly competitive contests.

Three SPC teams were crowned champions. Congratulations to the 17Bs Basketball, 17Cs Basketball and Junior B Touch Football teams taking out their respective grand finals.

All our students, regardless of results should be extremely proud of their efforts and the way they represented the College.

Thank you to the coaches, staff, and families who supported our teams throughout the season and across the Grand Final weekend. Your encouragement from the sidelines played an important role in helping our students perform at their best.

Congratulations to all players involved on a fantastic season and on the outstanding way they represented the College.

Combined Christian Brothers Swimming Carnival

On Friday night, the SPC Swim Team travelled to Cranbrook School to compete at the 41st Annual Combined Christian Brothers Swimming Carnival. This was the first opportunity for the Swim team to get together for race practice before the ISA Swimming Championships.

The team had some great individual swims and got some valuable race practice throughout the night swimming against some great competitors from Waverley College, St Pius X, College and Christian Brothers High School, Lewisham.

The team finished 2nd overall which is a wonderful achievement.

We wish the Swim Team all the best for the upcoming ISA Swimming Championships to be held at Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre on Tuesday, 17 March.

ISA Representation

Congratulations to Hugh Trainor (Year 11) who has been selected in the ISA Representative Water Polo team. Hugh will play in the NSWCIS Water Polo Trials being held at Knox Grammar School on Wednesday, 18 March.

Well done and good luck Hugh!
