Report from the Deputy Principal
Dear Parents, Guardians and Father Arsenio,
Our school is 50!! It is a little hard to believe that we have been operating now for 50 years and are going strong. Our P&F led by Carli Centrella are organising a formal affair to be held at 'The Farm.' The intention is to follow up with open days on 22nd/ 23rd May and conclude the festivities with Mass on Sunday 24th. Previous parish priests and principals have been invited as well as several other VIPs. Please spread the word far and wide.
Our year 6 students have a fair bit happening over the next few weeks. Next Thursday night they will be celebrating their Confirmation at St Patrick's Cathedral. I ask that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers. They are very much looking forward to their camp in Canberra as well. They will be away in the first week of next term. We will be looking to review participation in this part of the camp program so all feedback is welcome.
Enrolments for next year are now being taken. As a matter of priority I am asking all existing families to complete enrollment forms by the end of this week. We have a very good problem in that we look like we need a wait list for next year due to demand. If you are aware of someone interested in enrolling next year please have them register for a tour as soon as possible.
This week is designated as Catholic Education Week. Corinne has outlined a number of activities and ways this is being recognised in the attached pages. Please jump in and have a look.
Our first Dad's Night for the year is happening tomorrow night (Thursday 19/3). All welcome to attend in the Sport's Bar at the Croydon Hotel from approximately 7pm onwards.
REMINDER:
Please remember that supervision starts at 8:35am each day. Students should only be dropped off then or remain in parents care at school until then.
Have a great week
Duncan
