Wellbeing

Hello and welcome to the wellbeing section of our newsletter!

For those who don’t know me, my name is Hannah, and I am the Student Support and Wellbeing Officer at ACPS. My role is to promote positive mental health and wellbeing for all students. I run lunchtime clubs, support whole-school wellbeing projects, and work one-on-one with students who may need a little extra support.

In this section of the newsletter, I will be sharing simple tips and activities that families can use at home to support wellbeing.

As the weather cools down and we enjoy fewer hot and sticky days, many of you may be spending more time outdoors during the holidays. Whether you’re going for a walk, riding your bike, or even heading out on an Easter egg hunt, this is a great opportunity to practise mindfulness.

Try slowing down and noticing the colours and sounds around you. You might also like to have a go at finding:

  • 4 things you can see
  • 3 things you can hear
  • 2 things you can feel
  • 1 thing you can taste

Taking time to slow down and notice the world around us can help us feel calm, present, and grounded.

Have a lovely break everyone!
