Principal's Report

What A Great Term
It’s hard to believe we’ve reached the end of Term 1! It has been a busy, exciting and positive start to the year, and there’s so much to celebrate across our school community. I’ve loved seeing our Pillars of Community, Character, Connection and Curiosity come to life every day to make ACPS a safe and happy place for our children to grow and learn.
Our Community has been in full display at events like the Warrandyte Festival, Family Afternoon, Colour Run and our support of our local Winter Olympic legend Scotty James who came to speak to and inspire our kids. Seeing students, staff and families come together, celebrate and support one another really showcases how strong and connected our school community is.
Our students have shown great Character throughout the term. Whether it was determination and resilience at the Swimming Carnival and Run Warrandyte, the way they tackle challenges in the classroom, or their courage, kindness and a willingness to have a go. These are the qualities that help them grow as learners and people.

Our Pillar of Connection has shone brightly through the laughter and energy at the Silent Disco, the encouragement students show each other at events, and the friendships built in classrooms and around the yard. These things all contribute to the warmth and support that make our school such a special and connected place.
Our Pillar of Curiosity is alive in classrooms. Students have embraced opportunities to explore, ask questions, problem-solve and dive deeper into their learning. From creative projects to hands-on activities in the classrooms and Specilaist classes it has been wonderful to see our students actively engaging with new ideas and approaches.
A huge thank you our staff for their energy, care and dedication, and our families for your support, whether through volunteering, attending events, or encouraging learning at home. You make such a difference. Also, a big thank you to our students who have made an outstanding start to the year.
I hope all our families enjoy a safe, relaxing and well-earned break. We can’t wait to see everyone back for another fantastic term in Term 2!
