Senior School Formal
On Friday, 13 March the much-awaited Senior School Formal was held at Mornington Racecourse.
A beautiful mild evening for what was to be a fantastic night for Year 11 and 12 students.
After weaving their way through the Caravan show to the red-carpet students began their journey for the night. The photographer was on hand to capture the arrival of students and continued to take photos throughout the night. A photo booth was also on hand for some ‘fun’ photos that were somewhat different from the formal photos taken.
Delicious finger food was provided throughout the night and fuelled the students for a night filled with dancing and fun. Awards were presented to best dressed, best hairstyle, most iconic teacher, best dancer, to name a few.
As always, all students are to be congratulated on the way they conducted themselves throughout the evening.
Thank you to all students and staff who attended.

Year 11 VCE VM
It has been a busy start to the year for our VCE VM students who have transitioned from the safety of school five days per week to navigating VET courses and Structured Workplace Learning as part of their schooling week. It has been lovely to have conversations in class about their experiences outside of the classroom.
Term 1 our focus has been on ‘Personal Identity and Emotional Intelligence’. We have created and delivered lessons aimed to allow students to learn more about themselves, how they learn, what they would like to achieve and how they are going to get there.
Students have participated in a range of practical experiences and certificates including Responsible Service of Alcohol and Food handling, First Aid as well as attending the Melbourne Grand Prix.
Looking ahead, our Year 11’s will start the build-up towards Market Day which is always an exciting time in the classroom and a highlight of the year for most. Students will work in pairs to plan, create, market and run a stall on Market Day. Market Day will be held on Thursday 21 May.

Year 11 Review
It’s been a big and busy start to the year for our Year 11 students as they’ve stepped up into VCE life.
The transition from Year 10 to Year 11 can be a challenging one, with an increase in homework, SACs and meeting various hurdle requirements. It’s been great to see how well students have adapted, showing maturity and resilience as they get used to the new expectations.
This Term, students also had the opportunity to take part in a session with Elevate Education, where they picked up some valuable study tips and strategies to help them stay organised and make the most of their learning.
Alongside their academic commitments, students enjoyed some key milestones, including the Senior School Formal, which was a fantastic night and a great chance to celebrate together. We also saw students step up into leadership roles, with our Year 11 leaders being elected, congratulations to those students who put themselves forward.
Overall, it’s been a really positive start to VCE. Students should be proud of how they’ve managed the transition and the effort they’ve put in so far. We’re looking forward to seeing this continue throughout the year.
