Year 11 Captain

A fortnight ago, I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to MC the Bayside Youth Summit 2026 alongside Ajay from Year 10. Schools from within our council, as well as neighbouring councils, came together to discuss and tackle important issues affecting young people and the wider community. Throughout the day, an organisation called Youth Leadership Academy Australia guided us through a range of activities focused on developing leadership skills, teamwork, and ways to positively impact our communities.

The Youth Summit was an exciting and rewarding experience for me, as it allowed me to step outside of my comfort zone, meet and speak with new people, and develop my confidence as a leader. It was also inspiring to hear the creative ideas and perspectives shared by students from different schools, all passionate about making a difference in their communities.

As we near the end of Term 2, our Year 11 VCE students are preparing to sit their Unit 1 exams. We wish them the very best of luck as they study hard and work towards achieving great results.

Amplify Leader 

At Amplify, we are currently focused on strengthening and improving the quality of formative feedback provided across Years 7–10. Our aim is to develop a consistent feedback template that is accessible, engaging, and supportive of student learning.

This template is intended to help students better understand their strengths, identify areas for improvement, and apply feedback in meaningful ways to enhance their academic progress.

By creating a structured and student-friendly approach to formative feedback, we hope to promote greater engagement with learning, encourage reflection, and support continuous growth and achievement across a range of subjects and learning levels.
