Next Friday, 8th May we are celebrating the Mothers and Carers in our lives!
There will be hot chocolate and tea, a plant stall - and hopefully - lots of yummy treats!
Please donate your delicious baked treats on Friday morning. These might be homemade, or maybe some breads and nice pastries from a local bakery. Be sure to include the ingredients
We would love some volunteers to help with these jobs:
Bake stall set up / cashier / serving and pack up
Drinks stall set up / serving / cashier and pack up
Plant stall serving and pack up
Music playlist for stereo
And of course - donations of delicious treats!!

Thornbury Primary School Scholastic Book Fair!
This year, our fantastic book fair fundraiser will be in May, to celebrate Scholastic Family Reading month.
What a great way to resource new books to read with your family and friends and help raise funds for TPS.
The money raised goes directly towards new books for classrooms and our school library.
The book fair will officially open on Tuesday 12th May, after school and then will be open every morning, 8:30 - 8:50 and afternoon, 3:35 - 3:55 until Monday 18th May.
Pre-pay online and pay by card in person.
Each class will visit the Book Fair with their teacher, and students can fill out the "wish list" slip to bring home. If you aren't available to come with your child to the fair before or after school, you can use the back of the slip to pre-pay and send can come back to the fair to collect their books.
Make sure you write the receipt number on the back of the slip.

The Parents Battle of the Bands is ON!
It will be held at The Croxton Bandroom, with a total of 7 local primary schools.
Our school’s Parents Band, The Thornberries will be performing on: Thursday, 21st May (doors at 7pm).

All funds raised from ticket sales go straight back to supporting the performing arts and music programs of all participating schools. Please note: proceeds are shared based on the number of tickets each school sells.
The more tickets our community buys, the more our students benefit! So yes… the real winners are the schools that rally the biggest crowd 🤘🏼
