Clinton Lotter (7 Jones) finishes top five in national pole vault
Congratulations to Clinton Lotter, who represented at the recent Australian Athletics Junior National Championships in pole vault. Competing in the Under 14 age group, Clinton achieved an impressive fifth place overall. This is a fantastic accomplishment and a valuable experience at the national level!
Kilby siblings soar to first place at National Water Ski Championships
Emma Kilby (10 Jones) and Harry Kilby (9 Millward) both placed first in their respective jump competitions at the Australian Water ski titles in Mulwala over Easter.
Emma won the Under 17 girls’ event on her last jump after going into the event as the top seed and jumped 24.1 metres. She also placed eight in slalom, a commendable performance given the strength of competition.
Harry won the Under 14 boy’s event with his longest distance in the first round of 29.2 metres, seventh in slalom after a first-round early exit and sixth in tricks with a new personal best. Based upon the combined scores, fifth overall, missing the podium by just over 150 points.
A strong tennis performance for Willow Kelly (10 Jenkin) at Pizzey Cup in Perth
Willow Kelly once again represented the Big V last week, proudly wearing the state colours for a second time at the prestigious School Sport Australia Tennis Championships in Perth, Western Australia. Competing in the renowned Pizzey Cup — the national schools tennis championship for students in Years 7–12 - Willow showcased her ability on the national stage against the country’s top young players. Selection in such an elite competition is a significant achievement.
The Pizzey Cup, delivered by School Sport Australia in partnership with Tennis Australia, provides an opportunity for students to compete at the highest level of school tennis across Australia. In the individual event, the Australia Cup, Willow entered as the number four seed in the girls’ singles and delivered an impressive campaign, advancing to the semi-finals. In a tightly contested match, she narrowly went down in a third-set match tiebreak, 10–5. Her strong performance earned her selection in the Australian Team — a fantastic honour. In the team event, the Pizzey Cup, Victoria finished 4th overall.

Holly Cantwell (12 Millward) sails into second place in Geelong
Holly enjoyed an outstanding weekend at the State Championships in Geelong.
She was selected to represent the Sorrento Sailing Couta Boat Club in the highly competitive Teams Racing event and performed brilliantly as part of her crew. Holly and her team worked together against strong competition, ultimately securing an impressive second-place finish.
