PDSSSC Athletic’s Carnival

On Wednesday 3rd September, twenty seven students represented the College at the PDSSSC Athletics Carnival at Sydney Olympic Park Athletics Centre. The girls performed outstandingly well on the day, with many of them placing and also progressing on to PDSSSC representation for the upcoming NSWCCC carnival.

 

Well done to the following girls for representing the college with pride and a great attitude, and for giving their best efforts on the day: Tia Bachtis, Mikayla Blazek, Taya Smallwood, Jemma Camilleri, Heidi Lewtschenko, Grace Peters, Nekea Talaia, Annabelle Tran, Siena Vechio, Amelia Wood, Ariana Ashby, Sarah Baker, Amelia Beazley, Charlee Frazer, Sophie Griggs, Delilah Heterick, Harmoni Hill, Matilda Lett, Ruby Mason, Elise Massih, Kiah Peake, Holly Pomeroy, Laci Roman, Amber Stapleton, Ruby-Rose Steiner, Georgia Watson and Zoe Zahra. 

 

There were many great results on the day. The following were our highlights –

  • Ariana Ashby (13 yrs) - 3rd in discus.
  • Elise Massih (13 yrs) - 3rd in shot put.
  • Holly Pomeroy (16 yrs) - 1st in high jump.
  • Amelia Wood - (16 yrs) - 3rd in 100m.
  • Siena Vecchio - (15 yrs) - 2nd in long jump.
  • Mikayla Blazek - (15 yrs) - 2nd in high jump.
  • Georgia Watson (14 yrs) - 1st in 1500m walk.
  • Laci Roman (12 Yrs) - 3rd in 1500m.
  • Nekea Talaia - First in the 200m, 100m, 400m and long jump.
  • Tia Bachtis (16 yrs) - 3rd in the 1500m walk and 3rd inTriple jump.
  • Jemma Camilleri (16 yrs) - 2nd in discus and 1st in javelin.
  • Heidi Lewtschenko (Multi class 12-15)) - 1st in 100m, long jump, shot put and discus.
  • The 4x100m senior relay team was first - Amber Stapleton, Amelia Wood, Annabelle Tran and Nekea Talaia.
  • The 4x100 intermediate relay team was third - Delilah Heterick, Mikayla Blazek, Taya Smallwood and Siena Vechio.

 

Thank you to the parents and supporters who were at the carnival on the day. Your support and assistance was greatly appreciated. 

 

Congratulations again to all of the students that represented the College, and good luck to the girls who are progressing to the next level. We look forward to hearing about your successes. A special mention goes  to Nekea T of Year 12, who has been a member of the Caroline Chisholm Athletics team for the past six years. A big thank you for your commitment to Sport at Caroline Chisholm College over this time.

Year 8 Venue Sport 

8 MacKillop had a great time at Zone Bowling this week for sport. So much cheering, laughter and smiles. The highest point scorer was Molly. B with 84 points.
