Partnerships and Pathways

Caroline Chisholm College’s inspirational Year 10 ACU VOYSE Social Enterprise Challenge team has reached the finalist stage of the competition, showcasing their innovative business concept One Stop Swap at Blacktown’s Bowman Hall in front of ACU leaders, CSPD staff and students, global entrepreneurs and mentors. In just two months, the students have worked tirelessly outside class time to design a socially responsible enterprise that promotes sustainability by giving used items a second life. Supported by mentors Lucy Sattler (Study Work Grow), Adjoa Assan (ACU Blacktown Project Officer/VOYSE) and entrepreneur Vika Pinomi, the team impressed the audience with their creativity, determination, and entrepreneurial spirit. With valuable feedback gained at the Showcase, they are now preparing their final pitch video for the judging panel — and we look forward to cheering them on in the final stage of the challenge!

Caroline Chisholm College was delighted to welcome back Anna Dimech (Class of 2022), who first began her Early Childhood Education journey through the College’s Learn+ program while completing her Diploma in Years 11 and 12. Fondly known as “Miss Anna” by her students, she is now studying a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education at Charles Sturt University. Anna inspired a huge audience at the recent Lunch and Learn event with her wisdom and experience, highlighting the qualities needed to thrive in the profession — including empathy, patience, initiative, and always putting children first. She spoke honestly about both the challenges and rewards of the vocation, leaving our community proud of her remarkable journey and example. Thank you Anna!

A select group of Caroline Chisholm College Year 9 and 10 students recently took part in an inspiring Partnerships and Pathways excursion to Fujifilm Australia, where they gained valuable insights into the world of medical imaging and the diverse careers it offers. Chosen through an expression of interest process, the students heard remarkable career stories from senior staff and explored how Fujifilm, as a member of the Diagnostic Imaging and Monitoring Association (DIMA), plays a vital role in global healthcare while actively promoting STEM careers for young women. This exclusive experience highlighted the importance of curiosity, resilience, and empathy in shaping future career pathways — reminding students that opportunities are constantly evolving and often lead to places beyond imagination. A special thank you goes to one of our valued parents,  Stewart O’Connor, for planning and co-ordinating this unforgettable day.
