Primary Bulletin

Well, here we are at the end of first term already. It has been a productive term for us all with lots of events and extra curricula activities happening.

These all add to the richness of life here at Macleod. Here is a list of some of what we have experienced this term:

  • Auslan was successfully introduced into the Primary program
  • Meet the Teacher sessions
  • Yarra Valley Water visited us
  • Primary Swimming Carnival at Yarra Swim School
  • Life Education sessions for all our Primary students
  • NAPLAN testing was conducted for our Year 3 and 5 students
  • The Year 4, 5 and 6 students attended the Digital Thumbprint session on being safe online
  • The Year 5 and 6 students participated in the School Athletics Carnival at Meadow Glen Athletics Track
  • Our Twilight Sports Night finally happened after 3 tries.

Thank you to those families who attended the Twilight Sports Night. It always illustrates how friendly and connected our community is here at Macleod and gives us all an opportunity be involved in our children’s school lives and enjoy an evening of fun activities, food and conversations.

To close, I would like to acknowledge our amazing Primary staff for all the hard work that they have done and continue to do for our students. We are very fortunate to have such a cohesive and dedicated team working with our students. I also must make mention of our new team members: Ms Tilly, Mrs Benetti and Mr LoNigro, who have fitted in seamlessly here at Macleod. It has been a smooth and very calm start to our year, and this is due in a large part to the commitment to their work.

I would like to wish all of our families a safe and restful break and look forward to seeing you all back ready to face whatever next term has in store for us.
