Assistant Principal

Hello Mitcham Community!
My name is Mrs Bron Steele and I am very excited to begin next term as the Assistant Principal. I have spent a few days at Mitcham PS over these past few weeks and have been warmly welcomed by staff, children and parents!
A little bit about me! I have 3 teenage children who are all very sporty and musical. We have drums, cello and piano being practised often! You can usually find me beside the netball court on weekends as both of my daughters play in domestic and representative teams. My son loves being part of a local Mountain Bike Riding club. My husband, Pete, is an engineer who works for Boeing.
In my spare time I enjoy reading, walking my dog Minnie, baking sweet things, doing puzzles and playing board games. You’ll notice that my favourite colour is pink - I wear a lot of it! Being a netball family, we don’t spend much time following footy, but I have been a Geelong supporter since I was 5 years old! If I am watching a sporting game then its always netball – we are big Vixens fans.
I have had 20 years of teaching and leading different teams and one of my most favourite things is the privilege of getting to know and working alongside families.
The Mitcham school community is one I am very much looking forward to being a regular part of. I love getting involved in all the various activities that happen in a school day – especially the dress up days!
I hope you all enjoy a very safe and relaxing holiday break.
Please do come and introduce yourselves next term.
Take care,
Bron
