From the Principal
Year 11 Principal’s morning tea
It was fantastic to see so many Year 11 students being recognised for their academic achievements in Semester 1 at our Morning Tea. The following students were recognised:
Synergy
Congratulations to our Synergy dancers who performed a lyrical piece of exceptional quality last week. The piece explored the motif of the ripple effect of water as an analogy for our impact on others. It was amazing to see how many different ways our dancers showed this motif throughout the dance. I am looking forward to seeing the Creative and Performing Arts showcase this week to see more of our high potential and gifted students demonstrating their skills for a live audience. Western Sydney University is leaving the Nirimba Precinct
Western Sydney University has made the strategic decision to relocate from the Nirimba Educational Precinct, marking a significant transition for both the university and the local educational community. This move is aimed at enhancing the university's operational efficiency and expanding its capacity to deliver high-quality education and research opportunities through its other campuses. As the university departs, it opens the door for new partnerships and opportunities within the precinct, fostering a vibrant educational ecosystem that can continue to serve the needs of our students and the broader community. We thank the university for their significant contribution to the educational opportunities for Wyndham students over the last 25 years. We will continue to work in partnership with WSU to access educational opportunities for our students.
Vale Uncle Greg
We were saddened to hear of the passing of local Durag Elder Uncle Greg. He visited Wyndham College on many occasions and gave a lot of his time to our students and staff. He will be deeply missed but his impact will live on in the lives he touched. Our sincere condolences go out to his family and friends.
Welcome back Classa and farewell Kellie
Classa Martinuzzi has returned this week to her role as Deputy Principal. Kellie Boyd has done a sterling job as the relieving Deputy Principal covering for Classa. We thank her for her expert guidance and support of students (especially Year 11), teachers and parents. Kellie is leaving us to take up a secondment in the Department of Education head office as a curriculum advisor in Human Society and its Environment for three years. We know that this position will allow Kellie to spread her expertise and infectious positivity across the state, in support of teachers and students.
Push up Challenge 2025
Thanks to Chris Minol for organising the Wyndham College team in the Push up challenge to raise awareness of the tools and strategies we can employ to support good mental health. I have spent the last three weeks relearning how to do push ups with improving technique and raising awareness amongst my friends and family about how intertwined mental and physical health are. Congratulations to all the students and teachers who got on board the Wolverines team as we pushed our way to glory - $5000+ and awareness raised!

Synergy 2025
A huge congratulations to the Wyndham College Dance Ensemble.
The Wyndham dancers delivered a stunning performance of their piece ‘Waves’ at the SYNERGY Dance Festival last week at the Evan Theatre, Penrith Panthers.
A massive shoutout to these talented dancers for their dedication, professionalism, and the countless hours they’ve poured into rehearsals. Your hard work truly shone on stage.
A special mention also to Sarah Minol for continuing to volunteer her time and expertise to enable our talented dancers to thrive. Well done to everyone involved.
