Yr 11 Reports and Parent Teacher Night

Year 11 reports were uploaded to the Sentral Parent Portal on Friday June 20. Please contact the school if you have had difficulty accessing these. School reports provide a great insight into your child's progress to date, as well as suggestions on how to sustain and grow understanding and performance. Reports are also required as part of university early entry applications, TAFE applications or as part of employment applications, so keep them handy.

The final part of our reporting timeline is the Parent Teacher Interview evening. This was held on Tuesday, week 9 and was such a wonderful evening. We had the highest number of families booking meetings with teachers ever! We are so excited to know that the school, parents and students are working together to support students as they work towards achieving the high expectations, they and their families have set.

Resolving N letters

Some students may have received an N letter for non-completion of course and/or assessment work in 1 or more of their courses. Satisfying and completing coursework and assessment tasks is a requirement of NESA, which administers the HSC qualification. Not doing so jeopardises a student's ability to achieve a course and/or the Year 11 certification as part of their HSC.

Student's with N letters must resolve them by completing the work in the timeframe noted on the N letter documentation to ensure they do not put the achievement of their qualification at risk. With the holidays approaching, it is vital that any unresolved work indicated by N letters is completed, shown to the course teacher and marked as resolved if it satisfies achievement of the outcomes required by the task.

Leave in Term 3 and 4

Families are reminded taking leave from Wyndham College during term time requires an application for extended leave. The school must approve the reason for the leave, and parents are responsible for ensuring their child completes any missed schoolwork. Taking leave during assessment period could result in 0 marks being awarded. End of Year 11 course exams are in week 9 and 10 of term 3 (15-26 September 2025).

With Year 11 moving into the first term of Year 12 and their HSC in Term 4 2025, the first HSC assessment period will be in Term 4, weeks 9 and 10. Leave should be avoided in all assessment periods and may not be approved.
