YEAR 12 NEWS

As we head into the holiday break, I want to take a moment to commend our Year 12 students on their efforts so far this year. The upcoming holidays are not just a time to recharge but also a critical period for revision and preparation, with the Trial HSC Examinations beginning on Monday 28th July and running for two weeks.
Teachers have been working hard to ensure students are supported through this important time, providing revision materials and in many cases offering holiday workshops. These sessions are an excellent opportunity to reinforce learning and clarify any areas of concern before the trials. The holiday workshop timetable will be emailed to both students and parents. Please encourage your child to make the most of these sessions, our teachers are generously giving up time with their own families to provide extra help.
For students working on major projects, this holiday period is an ideal window to focus and make significant progress toward completion. The timber workshop will be open on Monday and Tuesday of Week 1, and the Performance Work Space (PWS) will be open on Monday 14th July of Week 2 for Dance students, with Sarah Minol leading rehearsals.
For those yet to see it, I’ve also attached the NESA Practical Examination Timetable. Please take the time to review this carefully if it applies to your child.
Finally, a huge congratulations to our CAPA faculty and students on another successful Annual Showcase. It was wonderful to see so many parents and friends supporting the performers. Performing in front of a live audience is a valuable and confidence-building experience, and your support makes all the difference.
Wishing you all a safe and productive break.
