WELLBEING @ WYNDHAM

Refugee Week 2025
We celebrated Refugee Week (15–21 June) with a powerful and creative event centred around this year’s theme, Finding Freedom – Diversity in Community.
Students were invited to reflect on the experiences and contributions of people from refugee backgrounds through art and storytelling.
It was inspiring to witness the empathy, creativity, and thoughtfulness shown as students honoured the strength and resilience of refugee communities—including many within our own school.
The activity was well attended and received high praise from Murat Dizdar, the Secretary of the Department of Education, who described it as a top learning experience and shared it on his social media.
Western Sydney University NEC Workshop
The first workshop of the WSU NEC program, Pathway to Uni, was held on 24 June. The session was well attended and sparked great interest and discussion, with the facilitator impressed by the students' curiosity, enthusiasm, and clear vision for pursuing higher education.
The NEC program supports students from refugee, new, and emerging communities to aim high and view tertiary study as an achievable and meaningful post school pathway. Through participating in this program, students build skills and gain a better understanding of university life, helping them make informed decisions about their senior school years and future study options.
Wellbeing Colouring Club
Students looking for a chilled space to unwind, get creative, and connect with others have been enjoying Colouring Club this term. It is the perfect place to relax, colour in cool designs, and enjoy some quiet time in a friendly, welcoming environment. Everyone is welcome, whether you are coming with friends or flying solo
